On April 4th we held an early morning breakfast preview to celebrate the forthcoming launch of Heath, for a select number of journalists and bloggers. We co-hosted the event with Tom O’Dell, the visionary stylist, art director and shopkeeper-curator at his amazing pop-up store, O’Dell’s Soho.
Tom and his original Shoreditch store - which he ran on Calvert Avenue, E2, for three years - are two of the brand’s founding inspirations. And we’re proud to say that he will be stocking Heath on his online store.
We welcomed some of London’s top beauty and grooming writers including Jo Fairley of Beauty Bible, The Perfume Society and YOU Magazine. We welcomed journalists for the Daily Mail, the FT’s How To Spend It, Men’s Health, The Times and The Daily Telegraph. Fashion blogger Carl Thompson also joined us.
We served a delicious breakfast by cool Covent Garden café, 26 Grains. ‘Hale and hearty’ – bang on for the Heath man when on a health-kick day - the menu proffered Bircher Muesli with Roasted Rhubarb, Avocado on Rye, Buckwheat Banana Bread and Salted Rye Brownie. As well as a selection of super-healthy juices. If you’re into grains, check out the new 26 Grains book.
Coffee was served freshly brewed from Lina Stores, the Italian deli just down the road from O’Dell’s’ pop-up. It’s on the corner of Brewer Street and Green’s Court (O’Dell’s was at number 7).
West Hampstead florists, Achillea created some incredible arrangements featuring the colours of Heath – plenty of greenery creatively put together, and then a few copper accents from unusual thistles. Magic.
